Halloween Carnival Pack Meeting, 10/28 - 6:30-7:30 PM - GRDC MP Room

Join us for a Spooktacular Halloween Carnival Pack Meeting on Friday, October 28th.  Bring your family - siblings are welcome to participate in the fun! You may wear a costume or your Class A uniform. Parents, please talk with your den leader about what help they may need in gathering materials - each den will need a couple parents to supervise their fun game or project. Scouts and siblings will have fun rotating through each den's sponsored areas!

Pack Volunteers 2016-17 - Need Help with Planning Pinewood Derby and Blue & Gold!

Hooray!!!  Over half of our Pack 281 families signed up to help with our fun-filled events for this school year.  We still need volunteers with a few events in January and February:  helping to plan Pinewood Derby, helping to plan for our Blue and Gold Celebration (Cub Scout Birthday Celebration for our February Pack Meeting), and helping with set-up for Blue and Gold. If you would can volunteer at one of these events, we NEED YOU!  Please email Louise (arias.louise@gmail.com).  No experience needed - we will let you know details of what needs to be completed. The Pack Helps the Cub Grow!

Last Call for 2016-17 Pack Dues

Pack Dues for 2016-17 need to be collected for our Re-Charter this week.   If you haven't paid your son's dues for the new Scouting year to Tim Belt, our Treasurer, please make contact with him by Monday, 10/10 - tim_belt@hotmail.com. We will not be able to re-register your son with National without dues paid. If you need to work out a payment plan, he will be happy to work with you. Thank you to everyone who has already paid for the year!!

Last Week to Check Out Popcorn!

Thanks to those families who have been selling our Show & Sell Popcorn - we have a limited quantity left. Varieties left: Unbelievable Butter Microwave Popcorn (2 boxes), Caramel with Nuts (5 bags), White Cheddar (2 bags), Microwave Kettle Corn (3 boxes), and Caramel (12 bags). Please contact Louise (arias.louise@gmail.com) to check out the last of our "site sales" popcorn. Attached is a form for you to complete and return when you check-out/return your product. Please contact your Den Leader if you need to pick up your Take-Order form. Let's go for 100% participation so we can continue to offer great programs throughout the year for our boys!  All Take-Order Popcorn forms are due to the Ruygts by Monday, October 17th (11603 Prospect Hill Drive, Gold River).

Webelos Woods Weekend "Into the Woods" - Oct 14-16 @ Gibson Ranch (8556 Gibson Ranch Road)

Webelos are Invited to participate in this year's Webelos Woods Weekend!  Paticipant Cost: Webelos $40.00; Adult partner $35.00 w/o t-shirt $40.00 w/ t-shirt. Cost covers Gibson Ranch entrance fee, event patch, Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner and creaker barrel, Sunday breakfast, and a t-shirt for the Webelos; Check In: Friday, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM or Saturday 7 AM, Opening Ceremony is 8:30 AM; Check Out: Sunday10:30 AM; What is "Webelos Woods"? "Webelos Woods" is a super fun weekend event designed just for Webelos Scouts and their Adult Partners. Webelos will experience a program that features camping skills, competition, fun and fellowship in an outdoor setting. Webelos will work on advancements, S.T.E.M. activities, camp outdoors, work as dens/patrols, participate in a great campfire, build projects, and meet other Webelos Scouts and Boy Scout Troops. Join us for the September Pack Meeting - "Helpful - To the Rescue!"  We will have a special Gold River "Hero" joining us - you won't want to miss out in the fun! Please wear your Class A Uniform.  Annual membership fees are due by this meeting - please bring $80 (checks can be payable to Pack 281).  We'll have sign-ups for our Planned Events for the School Year.  We need everyone to volunteer for 1-2 events. Thanks for your help to bring quality events to our sons!
